To the editor:
I hope readers, when considering candidates for governor, will give extra consideration to candidate Terry Hayes, Independent.
She has both the broad experience and the compassion for people that Maine needs to go forward. As a guardian ad litem representing children, Terry has been into the homes of struggling Maine families, she has served in the Maine House several terms learning the legislative process and earning the respect of both Republicans and Democrats who, in a rare show of collaboration, twice elected her state treasurer. Her comment about the state treasury: “The current governor has left the state in much better financial shape.” She knows how our money is spent.
I have known Terry personally for moer than 25 years as a very capable consensus builder. An Independent, isn’t she the ideal candidate to lead in these times?
